Ground turkey curry patties
Curry Patties
Ingredients
  • 1½ lb. ground turkey
  • 2 tsps. of olive oil
  • 1 onion (minced)
  • 4 cloves of garlic (minced)
  • ½ cup of water to dilute curry
  • 2 Tbs. of curry powder
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 small boxes of raisins
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • A dash of cayenne (optional)
  • 3 sheets of puff Pepperidge Farms puff pastry (1 ½ boxes)
  • 1 egg for egg wash
Instructions
  1. For filling
  2. - Brown ground turkey, rinse and set aside
  3. - Heat oil over medium heat and sauté minced onion and garlic until translucent. Add ground turkey and mix well.
  4. - Dilute the curry powder in ½ cup of water and add to the ground turkey mix.
  5. - Add breadcrumbs, raisins, salt, pepper. Combine all ingredients well & set aside
  6. - Use a rolling pin to roll out the each pastry sheet, until large enough to make 4 six-inch circles.
  7. - Stuff each six-inch circle with filling, with filling placed to one side, and fold closed. Press the edges with a fork to seal the patties. Poke the top of each with a fork to allow steam to vent.
  8. Brush with egg, place in the oven, and bake at 400 degrees for 15-18 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  9. Servings: 12 pieces.
