This is a popular and healthy snack for our family. We eat it with fresh cut veggies like carrots, red bell peppers, celery, and we make it often with some variation.
Ingredients
- 1 can of 13oz chickpeas
- 1 small lime (juiced)
- ½ cup of water
- 1-2 cloves of garlic
- 2 tbs. of tahini
- 2 tbs of olive oil
- ½ tsp of cumin
- ⅛ cayenne
- Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Using a food processor puree the chick peas with a ½ cup of water.
- Put the rest of the ingredients in the food processor, until smooth & serve.

We make hummus every week and use it as a healthy snack between meals with fresh cut veggies like carrots red bell peppers and celery.
