Bahamian Macaroni & Cheese
Bahamian macaroni & cheese was the highlight of our Thanksgiving feast in the Florida Keys, we made a big pan of baked Bahamian Macaroni & Cheese, and enjoyed it as a side dish, along with a Turducken, & grilled sweet potatoes.

Ingredients
- 2 cans fat free evaporated milk
- 6 eggs beaten
- 8 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp of butter
- ½ cup of Worcestershire sauce
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 red pepper chopped
- 1 onion chopped
- 2 tbs of butter
- 2 12oz boxes of gluten free macaroni
- hot sauce & salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the milk, the eggs, ¾ of the cheddar cheese, the butter, the Worcestershire sauce, and set aside.
- Chop up onion & peppers and boil them with the macaroni. Strain
- Add the macaroni to the cheese/egg mix, add hot sauce, salt & pepper to taste & mix well.
- Pour into a greased baking dish
- Sprinkle the rest of the cheddar cheese on the top.
- Bake at 350 for about an hour.
