Strada Restaurant

It was by chance we stumbled upon the Strada Riverside restaurant while we were on the Southbank checking out the glass buildings around More London Riverside. The restaurant appeared to have the two things that always appeal to us no matter where we are: good food and great views, so we decided to give it a try.

More London Riverside

More LondonWe were lucky to be seated without reservations (it’s a good idea to book in advance) and we took in the views of the Tower Bridge as it opened and closed while we warmed up from the cold with a nice hot drink. As we checked out the menu we were able take in our surroundings. The restaurant exudes a warm and cozy feeling and it’s great for romantic dinners. We also found the staff friendly and knowledgeable about the cuisine as we asked questions about the menu.

The view from Strada Riverside

For appetizers we had bruschetta and calamari and for lunch we had the Insalata di Spinaci (spinach salad with grilled chicken, Vitello alla Milanese (Veal escalope) and Bigoli alla Bolognese (Bigoli pasta with minced meat cooked in red wine). Everything was done to our satisfaction, but the pasta bigoli with the minced meat turned out to be our new favorite dish. Our food was done to perfection and did not disappoint and our Tiramisu was great. We left satisfied with a good lunch experience and we continued on our walk to London Bridge as we made our way to St. Pauls. Strada happens to have restaurants in other locations of London.
