Mincemeat pies

Mincemeat pies are usually served around Christmas time. This is our easy version.

Ingredients
  • 2 boxes of 10oz(283) ready to bake puff pastry shells
  • 1lb 13oz jar of rum & brandy mincemeat filling & topping.
  • Powder sugar
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Remove puff pastry from packaging, and separate pastry shells.
  3. Place shells on an ungreased baking sheets with tops up.
  4. Bake in the middle rack of the oven for about 18 minutes or until brown & puffed.
  5. Cool on rack for about 5 minutes.
  6. With a knife, remove the “tops” and the soft pastry that is underneath.
  7. Fill each cup with 2 teaspoons of the ready made mincemeat.
  8. Place back the tops, and dust with confectioners sugar, & serve.
