Ground turkey spaghetti sauce

 

Ground Turkey spaghetti sauce
 
Recipe type: poultry
Ingredients
  • 1½ lbs of 93% fat free ground turkey
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 3 minced garlic cloves
  • 4 large fresh ripe tomatoes
  • Add a tbsp of tomato paste (optional)
  • 1 tbsp fresh oregano
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • Ground black pepper and sea salt to taste
  • Gluten free pasta
Instructions
  1. Heat up oil and brown ground turkey over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic and cook until tender.
  3. Put tomatoes in blender and pulverize.
  4. Add water, fresh tomato pulp, tomato paste, and spices. Stir well and simmer uncovered for desired consistency.
  5. In the meantime, boil the water and cook the gluten free spaghetti.
  6. Serve sauce over pasta, with Parmesan cheese on the top.
