Ground turkey curry patties
Curry Patties
Ingredients
- 1½ lb. ground turkey
- 2 tsps. of olive oil
- 1 onion (minced)
- 4 cloves of garlic (minced)
- ½ cup of water to dilute curry
- 2 Tbs. of curry powder
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 2 small boxes of raisins
- Salt & pepper to taste
- A dash of cayenne (optional)
- 3 sheets of puff Pepperidge Farms puff pastry (1 ½ boxes)
- 1 egg for egg wash
Instructions
- For filling
- - Brown ground turkey, rinse and set aside
- - Heat oil over medium heat and sauté minced onion and garlic until translucent. Add ground turkey and mix well.
- - Dilute the curry powder in ½ cup of water and add to the ground turkey mix.
- - Add breadcrumbs, raisins, salt, pepper. Combine all ingredients well & set aside
- - Use a rolling pin to roll out the each pastry sheet, until large enough to make 4 six-inch circles.
- - Stuff each six-inch circle with filling, with filling placed to one side, and fold closed. Press the edges with a fork to seal the patties. Poke the top of each with a fork to allow steam to vent.
- Brush with egg, place in the oven, and bake at 400 degrees for 15-18 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- Servings: 12 pieces.
